Friends!

Although they don’t speak the same language, they are becoming friends.  A lovely woman who lives in a small farm down the street has introduced herself to us and has been just wonderful about invitations for play dates.  Her English is amazing, so she doubles as an interpreter for the kiddos as needed.

The first week we met, she invited me and Elisabeth over for afternoon cake and cafe.  It seems to be common practice in the afternoon to offer cake when you have guests.  I told her I am especially fond of this European tradition.

Last Friday, she took us to a hotel where they have an indoor playground.

strikingly similar to indoor play areas in the states, so nothing 'Salzburgian' about this shot.

At any rate, Jakob is nearly 3 yrs old and simply the sweetest little child.  He puts up with Eliot’s difficulty sharing and his ramblings in English so well….we are thrilled to have English speaking friends nearby.

But, we do miss all of you back home, and look at pictures frequently of all of our friends and family. Hope you have a great day!

XOXO,

Kim and Eliot
